David Rennalls
Position: Pastor
When I was younger, I was a wrestler. For most of my career, I’ve been a construction professional building infrastructure and towers. But since I realized in university that Jesus Christ really is King, I’ve been excited at the thought of working full time building his kingdom and wrestling against enemies that are greater than flesh and blood. I’m grateful to God for the privilege.
In case you don’t know me, I am just a regular person created by God, just like you. And just like you, and everyone else, I didn’t care about the God who created me or his Son, Jesus Christ, who he sent to save me. I was glad to live my life for my own goals and happiness and didn’t think I needed saving. But when I was laughing my way straight to hell, God saved me. He opened my eyes to see who he is, how evil it was and is for me to ignore and reject him, and how the day of judgement is coming. Then the good news of Jesus became good news for me: Jesus came and died for sinners like me. He was punished so I don’t have to be, and he rose again from the dead so that I could have new life now too.
When I believed that message, he changed me from the inside out, and I can’t say how thankful I am that he did. It’s the greatest privilege in the world to tell people like me about what God is still doing and watch them be transformed too.
